Freedom, Security and Justice

Implementation of the Republic of Moldova – European Union Association Agreement in the field of liberty, security and justice is monitored by means of yearly meetings of the Association Subcommittee on freedom, security and justice.

At the same time, Moldovan authorities cooperate with EU specialised agencies:

 

Europol

Cooperation with the European Police Office ( Europol) is based on the Agreement on Operational and Strategic Cooperation of 18 December 2014. Starting with 2013 the Republic of Moldova has had a liaison officer seconded to Europol.

 

Eurojust

Agreement on cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Eurojust was signed on 10 July 2014.

 

Frontex

Relations of the Republic of Moldova with the European Border Police and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX) are based on the Working Arrangement on the Establishment of Operational Cooperation of 12 August 2008. Nowadays implementation of the arrangement is carried out via Cooperation Plan for 2018 – 2020 period. Cooperation includes information exchange, training, research and development, risk analysis and joint operations.

 

 

European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drugs Addiction

Memorandum of Understanding with the European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) was signed on 12 July 2012. National Agency for Public Health of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection is the contact point for cooperation with EMCDDA.

 

CEPOL

Agreement between the Stefan cel Mare Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training ( CEPOL) was signed on 10 December 2012.
